Walnut - Fruit & Nuts

Walnut Lara 1 tree

Walnut Lara 1 tree

If you are lucky enough to have a large garden and you are looking for a large attractive tree, look no further than a nut tree. They are easy to grow, will quickly establish and you will soon be harvesting your own delicious nuts. Walnut Lara is a spur bearing variety and consequently slightly more dwarf than others 10.5-12m (35-40ft) making it an ideal large garden variety. These excellent quality nuts are very tasty eaten dried, but many UK gardeners traditionally like eating walnuts fresh picked, when they can enjoy their unique creamy flavour. Trees take 1 year to establish followed by nuts in 2-3 years.
